移工與大學生的華語交流
計畫與群眾服務協會協調合作事宜、與桃園印尼移工庇護中心合作並實體參訪,協助舉辦中文班活動,五月份時拓展合作至菲律賓移工庇護中心,但因疫情變化緊急取消。
中文班活動與創國學院「移民與全球化」課程進行合作,安排學生前往實地參訪桃園市移工庇護中心,以小組活動的方式安排學生至機構進行中文班活動,規劃了11次不同主題的學習中文內容。中文班讓學生自行設計中文班的教案,透過此過程能夠讓學生自發性的瞭解移工的需求與常用的生活詞彙,除了與移工進行互動外,透過實地參訪機構,學生也能夠更加了解移工所身處的環境。 |

At first, there were many concerns in my mind about how it would be. But when I arrived at the shelter, I felt much more comfortable than I thought when I was there and conducted activities for them. They are active and harmonious. They always interact with our activities, and some of them ask us questions and encourage us despite language obstacles. Besides, we also exchanged our traditions and cultural views with them which gave us wider views and reflected our diverse backgrounds on various topics. As a student from Southeast Asia, I can feel a sense of belonging to them and understand their situation. Furthermore, I also discovered that they are not different from me, going abroad to find better opportunities and doing the best for our families, just the way how we achieve it may be different. In conclusion, I think this activity has given us a priceless experience and a chance to learn about the lives of another group of people who share our home in Taiwan. |

Visiting the Indonesian migrant workers in Taiwan last Friday was a great experience and it was the first reason I chose Migration Class this semester. I had many things that I can reflect on from this social practice. First, when I came to the shelter they warmly welcomed us. Then all the migrant workers who live there gather in the living room. I felt that they all are like a family, they make jokes of each other, and feel that I also have when I’m away from home, friends are like family. Second, after we finished the teaching Chinese session, we played a passing ball game with Indonesian music and we sang along together. We also gave them chocolate with a supporting message that we wrote on a greeting card. They felt touched and we all had a lot of fun while playing the game. So I think happiness can come from small things like this game that can bring joy for the workers. However, in the sharing session when we teach how to ask “Where do you work? I’m working in New Taipei.” Some of them said that they haven’t got a job. That makes me feel so bad and sympathized with them because even though they had come to Taiwan, they found it really hard to get a job. |

華語認證班
「我寧可自己辛苦,也不要小孩辛苦。」
「這個句子很好,你可以自己辛苦,不要小孩辛苦。」擔任華語指導的葉老師回道。 臺底下新住民小雅(化名)用跟著葉老師,一句一句地練習著句型,投影片上偌大的四個字「寧可...也不...」,對於來到台灣十幾個年頭的小雅來說,這裡是讓她增進中文能力最好的地方。 小雅告訴我們說,過去在印尼或是在台灣,她都是看著新聞、看著手機慢慢地自學中文,如今來台灣一段時間後,她希望能系統地學習中文。從2022年五月開始,創新國際連結USR計畫在桃園的蒲公英新移民協會開辦進階的華語認證班,為的是培力更多的新移民們,能夠掌握比較艱深的中文字;並進一步通過華語考試認證,將來能夠運用專業知能在更多的新移民業務之中。在蒲公英,除了有專業的老師之外,還有另外十二位姊妹們能夠跟著她一起為學習中文而努力。 |
