IntroductionOur project is based on the idea that food is a bridge connecting two cultures–Indonesian and Taiwanese. We believe that food is deeply related to cultural identity, so by introducing Indonesian food to Taiwanese people we hope to contribute to a more inclusive society. We think that is normal to be afraid or skeptical of the unknown, but if Taiwanese people have the opportunity to understand the background of these migrants, they may see them with different eyes, resulting in a more acceptive society. The dishes we made are Perkedel (fried potatoes balls) and Soda Gembira (syrup and sprite drink). We provide the recipe and our feedback in the video! |
